Universidad Azteca and UCN Universidad Central de Nicaragua have signed an agreement on academic and scientific collaboration - This agreement with fully autonomous Universidad Central de Nicaragua enables students to enrol in any of the double degree programmes at postgraduate level (Master, Doctor) in the following study areas: 

Business Administration and Management 

International Commerce 

International Relations

Law (various specialisations)

Psychology 

Environmental Science and Environmental Management 

Health Sciences 

Public Health

Public Administration

Social and Political Sciences

Education 

Information Technology

Information on degrees according to Nicaraguan higher education system as well as full autonomy and degree awarding powers of UCN.

In this dual degree inter-university postgraduate programme the Mexican Universidad Azteca Maestría en Educacion is the intermediate degree earned halfway through the programme at MPhil level, and the UCN doctorate is the final official degree awarded by UCN with full recognition in Nicaragua, based on the thesis completed with UCN.

Universidad Azteca with UCN 

UCN definitive accreditation was decided in session 10-98 and approved by the National Legislative Congress of the Republic Decree Nº 2822 according to law, confirmed via the Office of the President of the Republic by Presidential decree. On the international level, UCN is listed with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), International Association of Universities under the list of universities of Nicaragua and the International Handbook of official directory Universities of accredited universities published by the United Nations.  

Universidad Central de Nicaragua is a fully autonomous university according to Nicaraguan laws. All degrees awarded by UCN are fully legal and recognised. The agreement covers the study areas given in the left column. 

The Diplomaawarded by UCN will be fully legalised by the CNU Consejo Nacional de Universidades and the Foreign Ministry of Nicaragua. 

UCN status confirmation by CNU and Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 

All programmes validated and offered jointly with UCN are fully recognised and in accordance with Nicaraguan higher education laws.
